By visiting the Site, purchasing from us, or engaging with any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of our Site and services immediately.

1.2 You agree not to interfere with or disrupt the integrity, security, or performance of our Site.

2. Eligibility

2.1 By using our services, you confirm you are at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction.

2.2 You agree that all information provided for purchases (name, address, payment details) is accurate and complete.

3. Product Information & Availability

3.1 Japan Engines Direct specializes in authentic Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) engines, transmissions, motors, and parts, sourced directly from our parent company in Japan.

3.2 All products are sold as described. We do not guarantee compatibility beyond the specifications provided.

3.3 Product availability is subject to change without notice. We may discontinue or limit the sale of any item at any time.

3.4 Images, descriptions, and specifications are for reference only and may vary based on manufacturing or supplier updates.

3.5 All products must be installed by a certified mechanic to retain warranty eligibility.

4. Orders & Acceptance

4.1 When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or reject any order for any reason.

4.2 Orders may be delayed or cancelled if:

  • Payment cannot be verified
  • Fraud is suspected
  • Product is unavailable
  • Customer fails to respond to verification requests

4.3 We may request additional information before processing an order, including ID verification, billing confirmation, or address validation.

5. Pricing & Payment Terms

5.1 Prices are listed in USD and are subject to change without notice.

5.2 We accept:

  • Major credit cards
  • PayPal
  • ACH transfers

5.3 By completing a purchase, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method for the full amount displayed at checkout.

5.4 In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel or adjust the order.

6. Shipping Terms

6.1 Shipping is handled via LTL Freight Carrier Services. Rates vary based on destination, residential/commercial address, and product type.

6.2 We ship across the United States, Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, North America, inquire within regarding international shipments.

6.3 International customers are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and import fees.

6.4 Shipping processing times vary. International shipments typically dispatch within 3 business days following approval.

7. Address Accuracy & Restrictions

7.1 Customers are solely responsible for providing accurate and complete shipping information.

7.2 We are not liable for lost or misdelivered shipments due to customer-provided address errors.

7.3 To prevent fraud, delivery addresses cannot be changed after checkout.

8. Inspection & Acceptance of Goods

8.1 Customers must inspect all shipments before accepting delivery. No exceptions.

8.2 If any damage is observed:

  • Do not sign for the delivery
  • Report the damage to the carrier immediately
  • Contact Japan Engines Direct with documentation

8.3 Once a shipment is accepted, responsibility transfers fully to the customer.

9. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

9.1 All returns require written authorization and an approved RMA Number. Returns without an RMA will be refused — no exceptions.

9.2 All returns are subject to restocking fees.

9.3 Eligible returns may result in:

  • Replacement
  • Repair
  • Store credit
  • Refund to original payment method (based on inspection)

9.4 Refunds process within 1–10 business days, depending on the banking institution.

9.5 Non-returnable items include:

  • Special order items
  • Sold-as-is items
  • Electronics, sensors
  • Rotary engines
  • Performance transmissions
  • Wear-and-tear components
  • Items damaged by improper installation or neglect

10. Order Cancellations

10.1 Orders cancelled after confirmation may incur a cancellation fee up to 15%.

10.2 Orders cannot be cancelled once shipped.

10.3 If a shipped order is refused or returned without approval, the customer is responsible for all shipping and restocking fees.

11. Warranty Terms

11.1 A certified mechanic must install all products. Installation by an untrained person voids all warranty rights.

11.2 Warranty periods:

  • 90-Day Mechanical Start-Up Warranty: Used General Replacement Engines
  • 30-Day Mechanical Start-Up Warranty: Performance Engines
  • 30-Day Mechanical Warranty: Replacement Transmissions

11.3 No warranty applies to:

  • Rotary engines
  • Performance transmissions
  • External accessories (sensors, gaskets, wiring)
  • Labor, downtime, or shipping costs

11.4 Warranty is void if the product is opened, disassembled, altered, or tampered with.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1 Japan Engines Direct is not liable for:

  • Installation or labor costs
  • Vehicle damage resulting from improper installation
  • Loss of income, downtime, inconvenience
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

12.2 Our liability is limited strictly to the purchase price of the product.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Japan Engines Direct harmless from any claims, losses, damages, or liabilities arising from:

  • Improper installation
  • Misuse of products
  • Violation of these Terms
  • Actions performed by third-party repair facilities

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located in California.

15. Modifications to Terms

We may update, modify, or replace these Terms at any time. Continued use of our Site constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
